Hotel lobby

The lobby is long, narrow and lined in dark green marble. Downlights alone would have turned it into a corridor.

The stepped ceiling does the work instead. Every step hides a continuous line of light, so the ceiling brightens toward the centre and draws the eye to the far end. Four scenes follow the day, from a bright morning setting to a low late-night one.
