Metro station platform

The station walls were left as blasted rock. Lighting them evenly would have made a rough surface look unfinished, so the scheme splits the space in two.

Passengers stand in warm pools under eleven large domes. The walls are grazed from above in deep blue, which hides their distance and makes the platform feel wider than it is. Platform edge markers run on a separate emergency circuit.
